The different characteristics of the prime move power delivery associated with Hybrid and E-Propulsion mean that the power is delivered to the propeller in a different way than with a conventional Diesel engine. This has a significant influence on the way that the propeller is designed and how the blades are optimised to absorb the power delivered and converted into directional thrust.
BT Marine Hybrid & E-Propulsion propeller designs have specific blade geometry that delivers a high level of efficiency across the complete motor speed range, coupled with low noise and excellent thrust characteristics.
Our carefully crafted and high quality designs can be used on pod thrusters, bow or stern thrusters or conventional shaft-lines running off an electric motor or alternative power source.
